Korean war hero seizes mother of two during 22 hour abduction

Roger R. Haller, 31, of Bangor, a Korean War veteran with Silver Star and Purple Heart, held Lynne P. McGinn, 29, captive for 22 hours in central Maine. He surrendered to state troopers near Belgrade lakes and will face kidnapping charges. McGinn, unharmed, described the ordeal and the high speed ride before police intervention.

A Pan American Boeing 707 crashed on Montserrat while en route to Antigua with 30 aboard killed.
