Henry Hamer of Fort Atkinson Wisconsin led a Duroc lightweight barrow to grand champion at the National Barrow Show with a 206 pound hog. Hamer raises about 400 purebred Durocs yearly and also maintains a 50 head purebred Angus herd. Grand champion barrow sold for 676.50 at 3.30 a pound to Calihan & Co Peoria Illinois while reserve grand champion went to Armstrong Truck Lines for 86.10.
