Norwich Conn Sept 7 The Falls company manufacturers of cotton goods have started up on fulltime giving employment to 6500 hands. The plant shut down Aug 14 for annual repairs but prior to the shut down the concern had been operated by short hands.
J B Thielgaard of the Carpenter Lamb Lumber Co dying after being struck by a train between Mitchell and Mount Vernon. He fell from the westbound mixed train and was instantly killed in a horrific accident.
In Toledo on September 7, P R Ashwell a carpenter killed his wife and wounded his son in a jealous rage then attempted suicide. Both Ashwell and his wife faced death while the son survived.
Four boys aged seven to fourteen were severely hurt when they found and detonated a dynamite cartridge while playing near Cunzaco. Local authorities investigated the incident and advised caution around unexploded ordnance.
