The birthplace of the master bard stands on Henley Street Stratford on Avon England. Washington Irving called the modest wooden house a nestling place of genius where pilgrims inscribe names in many languages across squalid chambers. The house was later bought by subscription to preserve it for future generations.

In Bemidji Minnesota on November 26 William Sorenson of Fertile attempted suicide by drinking carbonic acid. His hand trembled violently causing most of the acid to spill on his face and he survived.
Buffalo November 26 Frank Gotch fails to gain a fall against Zbyszko within an hour losing a match that required two falls. The giant Pole showed great strength and skill while Zbyszko predicted victory in a straight bout. Herman plans a Chicago rematch with a $10,600 purse. Ten thousand spectators attended.
In Wooster Ohio on November 26 1911 17 year old Donald Geiselman shot and killed his father Cyrenius Geiselman 50 while the elder Geiselman husked corn near Orrville. The youth fired at a bird and the blast struck him.
Lord Balfour of Burleigh warned in the House of Lords that winning the budget battle would be only temporary and losing could impair the Lords' function. Bishop of Hereford supported the budget as sound finance and social welfare, urging independence and protection of liberties amid growing democratic unrest.
Alva Jewell of five miles north, reportedly engaged to two Urbana women, faced threats of breach of promise suits. He left home claiming rabbit hunting, was found in an outbuilding with a gunshot wound, and appeared despondent after not returning for dinner.
