Toulon France Nov 26 The torpedo schoolship Algeciras was destroyed by a late night fire with 500 men aboard many escaped and three believed killed. Authorities saved others as fires spread rapidly and torpedoes on board exploded amid efforts to control the blaze.

Fatal Auto Car Collision In St Louis

Cornelius Harrison and his wife were fatally and seriously wounded when their car was cut in two by a street car in St Louis. Their daughter Mary Harrison and chauffeur Thomas Rohan escaped with minor injuries as Harrison was thrown from the vehicle and struck his head.

Collapse at Newark Jewish theater lobby kills one

In Newark New Jersey on November 26 a gallery floor collapsed during a Sunday night performance injuring many. Mrs Rebecca Schwartz was killed and about a dozen others were hospitalized with severe injuries while fifteen more suffered lesser injuries.

Two year old Joseph Healy of the Canistota area in South Dakota died after swallowing carbolic acid from a bottle kept in a supposedly safe place. He suffered intensely for about fifteen hours before death.
