Nogales Arizona Territory November 26. James Alvord the outlaw linked to the Cochise and Fairbanks robbery was killed as he and another rode to hold up Sonora Mining payroll carrier T L Van Daver at Tubutama Sonora. Van Daver identified Alvord and fired. two bullets struck Alvord in the head and breast while Van Daver was wounded twice but escaped with the payroll.
In Paris the chamber of deputies voted 295 to 249 to approve a 265 million franc indemnity loan for China. Premier Waldeck-Rousseau stated the government will honor Indemnities and uphold France's protectorate rights and duties in the Far East, rejecting smaller anti clerical proposals.
In La Guaira last week President Castro approved and secured the trial and liberation of a Venezuelan who killed a German trader in Caracas last April. The German legation urged punishment and awaits Berlin's instructions on the matter amid presence of the German cruiser Falke and training ship Stein.
A Watervliet report says thousands of perch were driven into the Pawpaw river by recent storms. The mill race a half mile up the stream is a sea of dead fish blocking boats. Dippers scoop the fish for fertilizer. over 300,000 perch estimated in the channel unable to escape.
Governor Hunt of Idaho, back from Utah, endorses Governor Van Sant of Minnesota in fighting the Northwestern railroad combination. He has not yet received a formal request and will decide after reviewing Minnesota's communication. He questions Idaho's legal authority to intervene beyond moral support.
England’s action in imprisoning Boer women and children in reconcentrado camps drew fire at a Masonic Temple reception for Montagu White, former consul general in London. Chicago leaders allied with the Boers condemned the policy as barbarous and criminal, urging Britain to move civilians to the coast and follow modern warfare rules.

Sauk Center Minnesota November 26 farmers fear a deadly new cattle disease. Dr S D Brinchial of the state board of health reports a contagious illness resembling haemorrhagic septicemia with no cure yet. Several top dairy cows died after appearing healthy at night, and pasture lands are deemed contagious. dead animals should be burned.
Berlin dispatch cites The Lokal Anzeiger reporting Emperor William speaking to naval recruits at Kiel. He says he desires war as little as his grandfather but would lead if war comes and urges recruits to be true to their oath, worthy of 1870 71, and to perform arduous service as soldiers.
Berlin reports that Baron von Reisswitz, former colonel of the regiment, was summarily dismissed by order of Emperor Wilhelm. The removal follows his failure to prevent the duel in which Lieutenant Blaskowitz, a regimental officer, was killed.
In Winona Minnesota on November 26 James G Emerson a brakeman for the Milwaukee road was crushed by a timber during a coupling in the yards. The timber struck his head against a brake rod knocking him unconscious and he died within an hour.
Lincoln Neb Nov 26 The official count of Nebraska’s November election reports Sedgwick Rep as supreme judge with a 12 659 plurality over fusion candidate Hollenbeck and a 6 751 majority Regents race Ernest and Republicans average 15 171 plurality. Total state vote 204 192.
London’s first lord of the treasury A. J. Balfour, under doctors’ bulletin, is ill with influenza and cannot keep his engagements for this week. The government leader in the House of Commons is reported ailing amid alarming health rumors.

Eugene Brooks elder of Dowie's Christian Catholic Church in Zion is sentenced to three months without hard labor for aiding and abetting John Rogers, who was convicted of manslaughter for withholding medical attendance from his sick infants who died of diphtheria. Brooks will appeal.
