With one of the greatest week’s values we have ever offered commencing Wednesday November 18 we open a sale long to be remembered by the purchasing public The time of year is now at hand when everyone is thinking of something for Xmas We are going to add a few of these good things.
A local sale advertises silks for fancy work with over 500 yards to choose from in a wide color range priced from 50 to 66 cents per yard. A second lot presents higher quality silks marked around 1.00 per yard, with sale prices listing various values down to 73 cents.

Lawrence Lewis a 20 year old white convict sentenced in 1900 for larceny was tracked to a wooded area by the Quenemo area marshal and armed deputies. He was ordered to surrender but fled and a pursuing deputy fired a Winchester bullet that pierced his lung. He died after being taken to the marshal's office.
