An Austin man and heavy equipment operator Robert B Braaten Sr died in a single vehicle crash Wednesday night near Myrtle Freeborn County. His pickup left Co Rd 13 in London Township on a slippery curve about 8 30 p m. Precipitation was falling and the deputy coroner declared him dead at the scene. Funeral services are set for 10 a m Saturday at St Augustine Church with interment at Calvary Cemetery and American Legion post 91 military rites. A wake will be held 8 p m Friday at Mayer Funeral Home with callers welcome after 3 p m Friday.
