Teachers Set June 26 Deadline For New Offer
The Austin Teachers' Council set a June 26 deadline for a new contract offer by the School Board after rejecting what was called our last offer. A 240 to 31 vote reported Wednesday showed potential for no teachers in extracurriculars for 1969-70 if no agreement is reached. The board said salary remained the sticking point after talks, with a gap of about 110000 between the groups amid an overall cost for a revised schedule.

Governor signs tough law and order measure
