Canton Ohio May 27 Mrs Ida Saxton McKinley widow of President William McKinley died Sunday at 1 05 pm at the McKinley home. The transition to death was peaceful and gradual with no pain. Secretary Cortelyou announced the death and preparations for a simple funeral at 2 pm Wednesday at the Canton home. Presidents Roosevelt and Leeb and Vice President Fairbanks were expected to attend. The McKinley mausoleum will house both caskets at Monument Hill. Mrs McKinley had been an invalid for over thirty years but remained devoted to her husband and public service. Her life included two daughters who died in childhood and a long, faithful marriage beginning in 1871.
