Six Die In Weekend Minnesota Accidents
Six people died in weekend crashes across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Airman destined for Europe died near Rochester in a two car collision. A Montgomery girl perished when a convertible overturned on a county road. Ashton Russell Jr. 17 from Fertile was thrown 95 feet from a rolling car. Roman A. Fidler 43 of Lucan county farm died when his tractor overturned. he was pinned beneath the implement. Others include Duane Bale 22 and Lydia Tilton 55 who died near Rochester. Clarence Tilton 58 died later. Marlene Filipek 16 died from a broken neck after a Montgomery crash. Rev. Francis A. Missia 64, a Wisconsin priest, died in a Highway 12 crash with a truck in Hudson. The toll raised Minnesota’s 1955 traffic death total to 180.
