A long vintage advertisement lists coffee varieties by pound including Pechage 10 cts, Crashed Java 9 cts, Rio coffee 10 cts, and Beaded Rio and Santo 15 cts. Also notes are Fancy mixed coffee and Mocha Java, Japanese teas 50 cts per pound, laundry items, starches, rice, oats, dried fruits, canned goods, syrups, and hundreds of other bargain groceries.
Reports from Santiago de Cuba on the Paris claimed the ex secretary’s death, then contradicted by late dispatches. Cabinet ministers and lawmakers expressed deep sorrow while praising the ex senator’s public career and character. Mrs Sherman remains unaware of her husband’s illness.
