Pacelli defeated De La Salle 69-65 to advance to the state Catholic tournament finals before 3,940 fans at the Auditorium. The Shamrocks outrebounded the Explorers 45-32, overcame a late surge, and face Benilde in the semifinal rematch tonight as St. Cloud Cathedral meets St. Thomas.

Shaw Cleared by Jury in JFK Assassination Plot

Clay L. Shaw, 55, was acquitted by a unanimous jury in New Orleans of conspiring with Lee Harvey Oswald and others to murder President Kennedy. The verdict followed a 34 day trial amid guard presence and dramatic courtroom reactions.

Hopkins SAIS wall hides slogan as visitors arrive

Students and visitors at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington found a partially covered wall slogan on Friday. Eisenhower Remains Very Weak Amid Pneumonia Recovery

Doctors at Walter Reed report former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, aged 78, remains very weak from pneumonia complicating post surgical recovery and prior heart attacks. Guardsmen Use Tear Gas at Berkeley Campus Clash

National Guardsmen and sheriff deputies dispersed about 75 pickets and 200 bystanders at UC Berkeley using tear gas and bayonet patrols in a campus clash sparked by a student strike demanding a Third World College. No injuries were reported.

About 4 000 riot police moved in in three waves to take control of Rome University after student demonstrations during President Nixon's visit. Berlin confronts renewed access crisis as Autobahn reopens

The Western Big Three reaffirmed free access between West Berlin and West Germany amid a two hour East German and Soviet blockade at Helmstedt.
