Garden Club Hosts Open House in Austin
A fine attendance marked the Austin Garden Club open house at the Pioneer and Historical Building Sunday afternoon. Delphinium canterbury bells and daisies filled baskets and vases, with pansies and roses in small arrangements. Outstanding African violet plants and unusual potted plants were on display. Refreshments featured pale blue delphinium, yellow snapdragons, and yellow candied treats. The antique Italian linen and silver services complemented the setting as past presidents presided. Mrs Charles Oots Sr owned the linen, and Mrs George Dorn led the day as general chair. Each guest wore a corsage.
