Veterans miss payments due to address changes
More than 200000 veterans or beneficiaries miss monthly VA checks each year, totaling over 15 million dollars, because changes of address are not reported to the VA and Post Office. VA Center manager John R. Murphy says undeliverable checks create hardships as funds are mailed to old addresses before notices arrive. He urges prompt notices to the VA and Post Office to forward or reissue checks.
