Grand Forks North Dakota June 16 Rolla Hensell aged twelve drowned in a local coulee while swimming alone. A companion initially joined then withdrew. Hensell cried for help and disappeared, with the body recovered about fifteen minutes later.
In Washington on June 16 the senate plans a grand silver service as a gift to President and Mrs Taft for their twenty fifth wedding anniversary. All senators signed the contribution list.
The next National Conservation congress will convene in Kansas City on September 25, 26 and 27. Industrial Commissioner J. A. Runyan announced the dates in a message from Thomas R. Shipp secretary of the congress in Washington.

L P Teegerstrom, shot by Detective Hammergren last Tuesday during a failed escape attempt, died at the city hospital. The bullet perforated his right hip and exited through his abdomen.
