In Haverstraw New York on June 10 a West Shore freight plowed into a funeral coach, killing Reverend A Romath E V Seifred and Mrs E V Seifred and William Beebe and fatally injuring Mrs Perry Kessler. The watchman watched the tragedy unfold as the gates failed to clear the track. The driver and mourners perished alongside the procession at Graveyard hill.

John Prock a 45 year old laborer was killed when struck and run over by the fire department hose cart on its way to a blaze in Minneapolis on June 10. The cart belonged to the Minneapolis fire department and the fatal accident occurred as the team moved along.
