Bernard Goldfine's one year and a day sentence for tax evasion may be shortened if he fully discloses alleged cash withdrawals totaling over 600000 from Strathmore Woolen Co. and other holdings. Federal sources say a four month release is possible, or the court could extend to about two and a half years. The judge conditioned probation on disclosure and a grand jury could be convened if he cooperates.
