Hansen says labor targets him for effectiveness in Minnesota
State Senator Baldy Hansen, longtime Democrat and labor ally, says unions attack him not for poor work but for being too effective. He notes his Labor and Commerce Committee buried bills and cites a failed minimum wage and a binding successor bill as key fights. He stresses jobs and local control, defends his record, and says he opposes liberal social reforms.
