New Pallman tourist sleeping cars introduced on the Chicago Great Western line to Kansas City and Los Angeles via routes to Southern California. One sleeper departs Hayfield at 10:50 p m every Monday and reaches Los Angeles Friday morning. Tours are conducted by an official, with comfortable accommodations and double berth pricing about one half standard rates. Sioux City daily market notes show cattle steady with stockers and fat cattle 10 to 15 cents higher. Beeves sold $40.50 to $15? (text unclear) and cows bulls mixed $3.00 to $4.00. Stockers and feeders $3.60 to $4.40. Yearlings and calves $4.00 to $5.00. Hogs opened 8 to 1/2 percent lower but recovered with prices $4.75 to $4.90.
Hogs market fell slightly at St Paul Union Stock Yards with prices $4.85 to $4.92. Cattle overall fair with stockers down about 250. butcher cows and heifers at $3.60 to $4.15, steers $4.50 to $5.00, fat bulls $3.40 to $5.65, veal calves $4.50 to $6.00, stockers and feeders $4.00 to $4.85. Sheep market steady with light receipts. sheep and lambs $5.40 to $5.90.
