Ambassador Casanova Freed After 48 Hour Kidnapping

El Salvador's ambassador to Guatemala Eduardo Casanova Sandoval, 58, said he was hooded and questioned for 48 hours by leftist kidnappers who shot him in the right foot and fed him coffee and antibiotics. He was released near Guatemalan City after counting to 100 before removing his blindfold and walking to a passing motorist. Energy plan won’t require sacrifice, analysts say

The Congressional Budget Office reports that meeting President Carter’s energy goals would not force a drastic change in American living standards.
