Remap plan set for release by federal court panel
A three judge federal court panel will issue a new Minnesota legislative reapportionment plan on Friday morning. The plan redraws to 67 Senate districts and 134 House districts, guiding this year’s elections and signaling candidate campaigns for incumbents and open seats. The change ends a long dispute that began in 1971 over population shifts and proportional representation under one man one vote.
