In an affidavit the Schwab family cites property holdings including mills valued at 300 million, blast furnaces 48.9 million, iron and Bessemer works 100 million, natural gas fields 26 million, cash 66 million, and over 80 million in materials in process, totaling 1.4 billion with earnings above 140 million annually.
Fargo reports a powerful cyclone cut a path estimated up to thirteen miles long, wreaking havoc across Merrifield, Thompson, Ardock, Manvel, and Carthage areas.
