The body of W. L. Dimick of Milwaukee was discovered Friday under ties at Masonville ten miles north of Escanaba Michigan. A bullet hole in the skull and a watch with small money were found on the body. Dimick had last been seen June 28 after leaving a Masonville saloon where a shot and cry were heard. He had travelled as an agent for a Milwaukee collection firm and was inspecting an oil well for another Milwaukee company.
