In Chicago on January 28 a United States district judge named receivers for the Chicago and Milwaukee Electric Railroad company for the second time in a month. A receiver was also appointed for A. C. Frost & Co, the bond financer, with Frost as president. The bonded debt is about 15 million dollars, with floating debts around one third that amount. Receivers include W. I. Osborne, D. B. Hanna, A. C. Frost, and George M. Seward, with Seward handling Frost & Co. interests. The Wisconsin subsidiary carries about ten million in bonds, largely held by Canadian investors, aiming to place a representative in future management.
