Five Die in Minnesota Traffic Accidents Weekend
Five persons were killed and many injured in Minnesota traffic crashes Saturday night and Sunday. Victims include Gerald Haberman, 16, of Blooming Prairie, who died after a car overturned near Blooming Prairie, and other victims: Joseph Buehler, 23, Redwood Falls. Edward E. Kukila, 48, Duluth. Norman Geiske, 29, rural Northrop. Evelyn Nielson, 38, Minneapolis, who died after a head-on crash near Minneapolis. and Dean Lundquist, 23, Lake Lillian, killed on Highway 212.

Alvin Molden Dies at Home in Austin
Alvin J. Molden 57 of 300 S Chatham died of a heart attack Sunday at home while preparing to visit his father. He was manager of Wallaces Inc in Austin since 1938, born in Wabasha April 6 1899, lived in Austin since age seven, and previously worked 19 years for West Dry Goods. Survived by wife Violet father Thomas A Molden two sisters Edith Heimsath Minneapolis and Alice MacLaren living with their father. Funeral by Jordan Mortuary Rev G Gordon Beale to officiate with Wallaces closing noon Tuesday.

Car Crashes Through Ice Drowns Boy in Rush City
In Rush City Minnesota a car driven by Boyd Olson plunged through thin ice on Rush Lake. Six year old Kar Olson drowned after the vehicle went under. Rescue teams cut a 100 foot channel for access. body recovered around 10 a.m. Coroner said about four inches of ice covered the site. Olson tried to push his son out as the car sank and both disappeared into about 15 feet of water.

Bulldozer Operator Killed by Heavy Log in Minn
