Campos Maprio Feb 28 The senate adopts a motion by Marshal Martinez de Campos signed by all Spanish generals demanding a parliamentary inquiry into the conduct of the recent war. Government backs the motion while Count of Almenas strongly opposes.
Senator Mason of Illinois says he will withdraw his opposition to the confirmation of C. C. Kohlsaar as district judge for the Northern district of Illinois due to representations that the fight is harming the party organization in Illinois.
