In Detroit Lakes Minnesota an eight year old boy Carl Litzau of Osage township was shot through the heart while playing with a .22 caliber pistol at a neighbor's home on the eve of his father’s funeral. Mrs. Litzau witnessed the tragedy and Becker County coroner Dr. William C. Dodds opened an investigation. Funeral services for the father, who died Saturday after a long illness, were held that afternoon.
