Mrs. Hugh Williams hosted a small party Thursday evening in honor of Miss Anna Roble who departs soon for new work in James town North Dakota. The gathering was social with games and refreshments served at 10 30.
Mrs F H Harbaugh entertained Thursday afternoon with about twenty invited guests for a social time with their work. A tempting lunch was served at 5 30.
Mrs Rob Haney visits at parental home in Lyle and Frank Haney family. Miss Alla Lacey from Iowa visits uncle Frank Haney. W W Club met Feb 24 at Mrs Fred Lincoln's. Baptist Ladies Aid collected about $2.65 at Mrs Geo Bennett's. Will Dantzen and relatives plan March move to Austin in northwest town part. Mr Barclay's East of Austin hosted W W Club last week. Mr and Mrs Fred Oleson spent Sunday with Frank Haney family.
About seventy five friends of Mr and Mrs E H Green gathered at their home Thursday night and enjoyed the evening in the good old way they did when they were young folks. Dancing continued until midnight with light refreshments served.
Mrs. W. H. Adams entertained a small party at her South River Street home Thursday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. S. V. Krebs of Minneapolis. Luncheon was served at 11 o'clock and the evening featured games, music, and light conversation.
A blaze in the La Boheme restaurant in Albert Lea last night left the building a total loss. One man was carried from the flames and rolled in snow to aid cooling as firefighters arrived and subdued the fire. The victim’s name was not released.
