The City Planning Commission hears a three stage plan for sewage plant upgrades. Stage 1 adds a pumphouse larger stormwater area chlorination tanks a new filter roof and standby power costing about 2.23 million dollars to be completed in 1972. Stage 2 funds a 1.65 million dollar anaerobic plant modification including a daily flow equalizer aimed for completion by June 1973. The third stage cost about 1 million dollars would install a pilot ammonium nitrate removal plant with University of Minnesota involvement. total expansion near 5 million dollars with potential federal financing of about 30 percent.
