Forty Die As Imperatrix Sinks Near Crete

At Cape Elaphantsi near Canea Crete on Friday evening the Austrian steamer Imperatrix struck a rock and sank. All passengers were saved but forty crew members perished including thirty two Austrians and eight Matians.
