A fire gutted the J and J Cafe in Myrtle this morning killing Stephen Cerny three. His parents ran the cafe and lived upstairs. Firemen found the body at 1 05 p m after probing the ruins for about 30 minutes. Kathleen 14 carried Adrian one in safety after finding smoke in the living quarters. Three other Cerny children were at school when the blaze broke out. Fire departments from multiple towns fought the flames and only parts of the frame walls remained with Ken’s Bar spared by a narrow lot. Cause of the fire was not determined by press time.
