Fayette Sherman, personnel director of Geo. A. Hormel & Co., was elected a director by the Hormel board, succeeding Ralph H. Daigneau who retires in October. Sherman has led plant personnel relations since 1949 and has long served in various Hormel roles from the sausage room in 1916 to personnel manager in 1937. He is a native of Lyle and a longtime Austin resident.
