Austin Man Killed in Crash Near Elk River
An Austin man Jeffrey J. Hein 20 died when his car left U.S. Hwy 10 near Elk River Minnesota and overturned. Passenger Robert D. Yonke 20 injured with a finger cut. Hein, wounded in Vietnam, had used hand controls after paralysis. The crash raises Minnesota’s road toll to 83 for 1970. Funeral at Holy Cross Lutheran Church Fort Snelling interment. Also killed Thursday night Gerald Rustad 21 of Rochester when car plunged off a 100 foot embankment and burned. Rustad died after reporting the crash from a farm house. taken to Rochester hospital in good condition before death.
