Oakland youth dies in car-truck crash
Dennis L. Berg 17, of Oakland, died when his car rear-ended a stationary flatbed truck on icy Highway 116 near Oak Hill addition while returning from Oakland with fellow student Danny Forrester 18. Forrester survived with minor injuries. The driver, Winfred Stinar 42 of Bagley Minnesota, said his truck skidded after braking to turn, the crash was the county’s first fatality this year.
