Fire kills man and woman in Minneapolis apartment blaze
A two person fatal fire occurred in a ground floor two room unit of a three story building on the southern edge of downtown Minneapolis. Fire officials said both bodies were found in the kitchen. a third floor resident was rescued in satisfactory condition and four others escaped. The two victims were identified as Dorothy D. Fritz and Roy F. Sutherland. The blaze started in a bedroom and was brought under control within an hour. The Fritz woman, in her late 50s, worked at Security Envelope Co. The building stood near the city’s auditorium district.
