Bullet Intended for Suspect Kills Driver in Houston
A bullet aimed at a fleeing burglar struck 79 year old former high school principal Thomas Horace Rogers in Houston. A nearby policeman fired at a car suspected of containing the burglar, his shot shattered a window and struck Rogers in the head as his car ran into parking meters and stopped in a lot. The burglar suspect escaped.

Oscar Huffman 74 of 1110 Elmer died at 7 p m Saturday when his car collided head on with Elmer Tuttle 17 of Radcliffe at the Y shaped intersection of Highways 57 and 65 seven miles west of Eldora Four others were injured including three passengers in Tuttles car Huffman was enroute to Nevada to visit two ill sisters from Austin Hardin County deputy sheriff Lowell McCormick said Huffmans vehicle bent and gas tank torn loose in the crash and the cars had to be dragged apart Funeral services planned for Tuesday with Huffman survived by a wife 11 children and seven sisters.

Dave Garroway Hurt in Crash
