Twenty POWs Leave Philippines for Mainland Flight
Twenty American prisoners of war and a Vietnamese puppy boarded a C141 Starlifter at Clark Air Base for the United States. The group departed a day early with a later arrival planned at Travis Air Force Base in California around 4 p.m. PST. Forty more POWs were to follow on Thursday in two planes. Capt Jeremiah A Denton voiced thanks for the welcome at Clark.

Man indicted for murder in Cambridge slaying
