Fatal explosion strikes Justice Cortese in Paterson
In Paterson New Jersey on February 9 Justice of the Peace Robert Cortese was fatally injured when an infernal machine delivered by express exploded in his office. His son Robert who had received the box was injured as the blast tore a six foot square hole in the floor. The judge died in hospital.

Favrot Indicted for Murder in Baton Rouge Shooting
