A Sunday night blaze caused by an overheated stove leveled three frame buildings in Lyle Minnesota: Burkhart Bros Produce Ron's TV repair and an empty store used for storage. The Lyle American Legion Clubrooms sat above the structures. Gutted were Haugland Appliance and the former Lyle Tribune quarters. The 75 year old buildings were visible five miles away. Fire crews from four departments responded after Roger Nelson aged 15 reported the fire at 7 25 p m while en route to the Roller Rink with his cousin.
