Man 72 Dies in Cabin Fire in Minnesota
Claude Swope age 72 died of suffocation as a cabin fire filled with heavy smoke in 18 below zero weather. Firemen battled the blaze for an hour, locating his body on a bed wrapped in bed clothes after the stove started the fire, authorities say. Neighbor John Bradburn, who runs a nearby cafe, discovered the blaze and tried to reach Swope but was driven back by dense smoke.

Deaths of Farm Couple Ruled Murder-Death by Own Action
