Canadian Killed in State Crash Near Crookston
A Toronto man Stephen De Courcy 32 died on arrival at Red Lake Fall hospital after a rear end collision with a truck on Highway 2 eighteen miles east of Crookston Minnesota early today. His wife Ann 5 suffered chest injuries and both were wedged in the car. Hubert Battler Regina driver of the truck said the crash happened as De Courcy slowed to pass. Minnesota 1955 highway death toll reaches 326 compared with 367 a year ago.

Monticello Grain Elevator Destroyed by Fire

30 Die In Wreckage Airliner Crashes Near Ft Leonard Wood
An Ameri can Airlines Convair with 27 passengers and 3 crew crashed near Forney Airport at Ft Leonard Wood Missouri killing all 30 aboard. Pilot Capt Hugh Barron of Tulsa Oklahoma had just tried for an emergency landing after a crippled engine trailed flame.
