More farmers signed 1963 feed grain contracts than 1962 but total diverted acres fall from 48 538 to 42 332. Farm participation rises from 1 586 to 1 750, with 2 478 Mower County feed grain farms. 1962 payments reached 1 756 000 dollars. 1963 expected at 922 000. ASCS Austin estimates 1962 program cut market feed grains by 2 582 252 bushels.
