Mary Wolf of Pacelli High School has been named a four year Merit Scholar by the National Berit Scholarship Corporation and the Hormel Foundation. Wolf, daughter of Raymond and (Mrs.) Wolf of Austin Nr. 2, plans to study journalism at the University of Minnesota. She has been on the yearbook staff, edited the senior car, and engaged in track, tennis, Math Club, Pep Club, and Sacred Heart Hospice volunteer work. Her goal is to write and illustrate children's books or work in newspapers. The Hormel Foundation established the program in 1966 providing five scholarships annually to children of Geo A Hormel Co and subsidiaries based on merit, leadership, and citizenship.
