Reuben Reports Early Texas Angus Sale Plans and Local Events
Reuben notes ten calves consigned for the November 16 sale at Keillor Ranch near Plingerville, as the first Central Texas Angus sale attracts bidders with Watson aiming for 100 cattle. Tommy Freek, Camp San Saba breeder and 4H sponsor, led 10 scramble calves to Travis County clubs after Amarillo fair success. Otis and Luther Watson attended the Decatur sale as 72 head sold. West Texas considers 1,000 acres of cotton if the acreage bill fails. Calf market near Seymour runs around 31 cents per pound.
