Engineers Seabees Repair Korea Railroad
Army engineers and Navy Seabees on October 2nd restored the Inchon Suwon railroad to operation. They repaired 10 engines and 50 miles of track under sniper fire, with about 200 cars ready to move supplies from the Indian beachhead to troops. Engineer Board To Register 150 at Oct Meeting
The Texas Board of Registration for Professional Engineers will hold its regular quarterly meeting October 3 to 6 in the Tribune Building. More than 150 applicants will be considered with 25 oral and 50 written examinations. Frank A Louis Frank Services Scheduled Today
Funeral services for A Louis Frank longtime Austin Rotary Club secretary will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. He died Monday in a local hospital after an extended illness. Frank was a mailing clerk in the state comptroller department and long engaged in the family cigar store business. He is survived by his daughter Lois Breitenbach and four sisters. Rabbi Bertram Klausner will conduct the services.
