In Burlington Vermont a 13 year old boy Maurice Brown fired at a squirrel. The bullet killed the animal and pierced a wall into Erwin Bowley’s house, injuring Dana Warby who was repairing a wall plug in the kitchen.
In Fort Worth a 47th district court hearing on a temporary restraining order heard that States Rights backers claim a Texas Democrat need not back national party nominees while loyal Democrats insist he must. Tom Tyson testified he was temporary secretary of the State Executive Committee and permanent chairman of the Democratic State Convention.
United Press reports post election remarks from several figures. Lyndon B. Johnson defeats Jack Porter as Beauford Jester and Henry Zweifel comment on party and Texas politics. Porter reflects on his campaign and its impact on his state.

Mayor Tom Miller, state Democratic finance chairman, urged Democrats Wednesday to help pay campaign deficits after solid election results. He said the party faced opponents with more money and vowed to fulfill the faith in voters by raising funds to cover campaign bills.
Two University of Texas defense research laboratory staff members will attend a symposium on supersonic aerodynamics in Silver Spring Maryland. Dr M J Thompson associate director and UT aeronautical engineering chair will chair one technical session. R F E Wilson aeromechanics section research engineer will present a paper on aspects of the laboratorys research program in sonic aerodynamics.
University of Texas drama department announces The Winslow Boy as January program. The English drama, a Broadway hit last year, moves to the university stage with Steve Perkins credited for the first 283 shows?

A man tentatively identified as Danny A. Fowlie manager of the Hicks Airport at Fort Worth was killed when his car struck a concrete bridge in Dallas. Another man injured was in serious condition in a Dallas hospital.
Last rites for Frances Cocke will be held at 3 p m at Liberty Hill Methodist Church. The 19 year old was found shot at her home on West Avenue Tuesday, died later at Brackenridge Hospital. Survivors include her parents Mr and Mrs B F Cocke of Bertram and sister Miss Carolyn Cocke of Austin. Burial at Liberty Hill.
Scout Troop 11 plans a reorganization meeting at Central Christian Church community room at 7 p m Friday. Warren Smith is named new Scoutmaster and unconnected boys are invited to attend. The troop disbanded during the war and has been active about 20 years. For information call Mr. Smith at 85977.
