Serials and Serials: World An and Sergeant York at Local Theaters
A mixed note reviews World An poetics picture by Robert Keane and a reissue of Sergeant York. The first is a semi documentary featuring Richard Basehart as a genius criminal pursued through Los Angeles sewers. the second touts Gary Cooper’s 1941 Oscar winning portrayal with nostalgic hillbilly hero charm and sentimental touches.
