Walter Seaholm was named by the City Council to be city manager effective June 1, succeeding Guston Morgan. Justice of the Peace J. T. Kellum, 82, died at his Bastrop home after a two week illness. He lived in Taylor from 1900 to 1920, worked as a barber there, and served as justice of the peace. A Taylor Masonic Lodge delegation will attend Friday's funeral at 4 p.m. Hasler Funeral Home in Bastrop. he is survived by his widow.
