A driverless city bus in Dallas crashed through a fence and into the bedroom of 73 year old Mrs. P. L. Bean, injuring her slightly. The vehicle hit an automobile then a truck, damaged a storefront, and toppled a telephone pole before stopping in the residence. Mrs. Bean was hospitalized for examination.
Funeral rites for Mrs. Emma Puckett Weir known as Miss Emma will be held at Weed Corley Funeral Home at 10 am. Rev. Flynn V. Long will officiate and burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park. The 84 year old educator died Sunday at her home after a 56 year career teaching at Palm West Avenue and Metz Schools.
